     In Matched, the main character Cassia Reyes is "matched" with her childhood friend Xander. However, her microchip flashes a picture of someone else. She slowly finds herself falling in love with  Ky instead of her "match." Her world is very strict. There's no mistakes. Society has taken over. Every one must follow rules. But Cassia chooses to rebel. She begins learning to write and fight against society.
     In matched the main character Cassia wonders if she is pretty. She wonders if she has a good personality. The author shows this In the book by, " Do I look pretty? Now the question is Am i strong?"Pg 204 This is significant because the main character is questioning her self. She feels self continence. This adds sophistication to the story by making the story line have mood. This adds mood to the story.
     Cassia is going to break the rules of the society just to be with Ky.  On page 285 it says,"My instinct tell me to put him with the more efficient group."Cassia want the best for Ky and she is starting to have feelings for him also. She wants to be with Ky even though she is matched with her friend, Xander. Cassia is going farther and farther away from Xander. In the meantime she is getting closer and closer to Ky an Aberration.
