The authors message of the book "fish in a tree"by Lynda Mullaly Hunt is fitting in. This is the authors message because Ally has a very hard time fitting in. In the story the author shows how Ally started fitting in and had 0 friends and then she started to make friends. Like shay and her mean friends and Shay friends were mean and made fun of Albert because he wore a broken shoe. Also because Albert gets bullied it means that he does not fit in like how Ally never fit in. One quote is "huh huh look at his shoes its broken are you poor". This shows that he does not fit in at all. Also Ally wants to fit in so she starts to try to make friends by fitting in with everything like Albert getting bullied also when the kids were making fun of jessica when they were trying to figure the box out. One detail is "IT is a baseball". Then the kids made fun of her and Ally wanted to fit in so she stared talking. So Ally wants to fit in by caring about about what everybody says.

This is significant because according to the text, it said, "I hold her gaze as i hand half the flowers to Keisha", this quote explains to me that if you be nice to others they will pay you in return with something nice.

Manveer- The author messages is that not thinking twice before doing something bad or something really to make a person mad. This can be seen when ally said "So. when she took a piece of cake out of her lunch box, I reached over, sunk my fingernails through the frosting, grabbed a hunk, and stuffed it in my mouth." This line is important because, she wanted to show that shay can't mess with anyone including her and anyone else.

    A message in the book "Fish In The Tree" is Friendships are important to people and can impact a lot on people. Before Ally became friends with Keisha, she would sit alone at lunch. Before Albert was friends with Ally and Keisha, he would sit alone and always keep dark secrets inside. Albert has never said why he had bruises, or why he didn't say why he didn't trust Mr Daniels, or why he wears the same shirt everyday, or how he doesn't like violence, and how his parents are having problems and how poor he was. when he met Keisha, she was telling him to stand up for himself, "They think you won't fight. They think it's okay you'll just keep being their punching bag. That's why they fight you."

                        The author's message is that people should not be judged by how smart they are because everyone is smart in different ways. If you force a person to believe that they are not smart they will never succeed, Einstein was dumb when he was a child but no one pushed him down and now is considered one of the smartest person in the world. Ally is a great child with a great mind, except she has been pushed down so much that she now  believes it and she puts her expectations very low. One quote that proves this "Everybody is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its life believing it is stupid." This quote is significant because this shows how Ally believed that she was stupid and the Author's message is you shouldn't be judged by your smartness because it can cause long term affects, because people are unique smart in different ways.

What is the author's message?

The author's message is LOVE. In the book, mostly all of the characters are faced with the consequences of love. For example, Clary's mother, Jocelyn, who was once married to Valentine, broke up when she finds out that Valentine was only using the Mortal Cup for his own greed. When that happened, it caused chaos to the Shadowhunters. Clary was faced with the consequences when she fell in love with Jace. She later found out that he was her long lost brother. Simon was faced with this, too. He fell in love with Clary 10 years ago, when they were little children. But before he was able to confess to Clary, he found out that Clary liked someone else, which was Jace, and not him. When they fell in love with other people, they had consequences happen to them in return. 

Author's Message of City Of Ashes

           In Cassandra Clare's series, "The Mortal Instruments" in book two, City of Ashes; Alec Lightwood a Shadowhunter is gay. He is in a so called, "relationship" with a warlock who is Magnus Bane. He is afraid to come out of the closet, because the Clave, the society that keeps track of Shadowhunters shuns queer Shadowhunters. Alec is afraid to come out to his parents for this reason. However, when Clary discovers the fact that she can draw runes that are not in the Grey Book, she draws a rune called; "Fearless." This rune allows the bearer to be fearless in times of fear. Such as fighting a greater demon, or coming out of the closet. From page 286 Alec bears the Fearless rune. Thus which makes him fearless. Fearless enough to come out to his parents. When Alec tells attempts to tell his parents, he could have said something else but, he tried to say that he was gay. His parents kept trying to tell him it wasn't important but it was. A quote from the book showing this is, "This is important, you see I'm not just seeing anyone, I'm seeing a Downworlder. Not any Downworlder, but a war-" This shows that Alec had enough confidence in himself to say this. What the author is trying to convey is that, you must have enough confidence in yourself to say what you need to say. So that you can let others know. Know what's going on with you. Your issues. This is what Cassandra Clare was possibly trying to convey.

The author's message of The Forest of Hands and Teeth is that you should always hold hope and not doubt the brighter side of things even when life brings you hardships. The author is trying to tell us about the difficulties life may bring and how Mary deals with them. Mary is the type of person who doesn't give up to accomplish her dreams, a life that doesn't bring sorrow and depression.  Many would not be able to still hold positivity after all she has went through. She strives to keep believing in a better and happier life. Sometimes she would have some doubt in the future and how things will continue, but she would never give up in the challenges she is facing. One quote that supports our thinking is "I can hear the others behind me, hear Cass yelling that she doesn't want to keep going. To leave her alone. But I do not wait." This demonstrates how eager Mary is to continue down the path and find a life that she always longed for. Another piece of text evidence that shows Mary's determination is when she says "It has to be here, I tell them."

THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH

In the book  "The Forest Of Hands And Teeth" there is a lot of mixed messages. There is love, leadership, good vs. evil, and trust. In this book a message is love whereas its about finding true love and the complications of it. There is love everywhere fake and real. Mary has two lovers, and the worst part, they are brothers. There's a lot of drama its like a square because Cassandra, Mary's friend is also involved. Mary loves Travis, Travis loves Mary and Cassandra, Cassandra loves Travis and Harry. One quote that shows this is where it said , "Because not only had I lost Travis and Harry when they both fell in love with you, I lost you as well." This is significant because it shows the love between the characters and the bond that they have. They have a complicated life, finding love, and fighting evil.

In the story ally had no friends and she could not fit in so she started hanging out with shay and her mean friends and then she started making fun of other kids like Albert just because she does not fit in. like in chapter 14 they were in groups to figure out what was in a box and in that group she started making friends like Jessica  started being nice. she is starting to make more friends. and they don't care that she  is dumb. like in the page 77 were it says " I tilt it again with my palm on the side of the box. "i think its a baseball," i say, handing it to Jessica. she does the same test and surprises me by saying, "i agree. fells like a baseball." in that quote it shows that ally was starting to make friends. This is why ally's message is fitting in because she cares about what everybody say's so she wants to fit in with everybody else.

In the book '' Fish in a tree'' by Lynda Mullaly Hunt the author's message to the readers is that it doesn't matter if you act weird or if you can't write all that matters is that you are confident and be nice. Also, you all have talents and you  can show it off no matter what. The author is tying to tell the reader to be , confident, talented, intelligent, and  to fit in. The Author wants the readers to understand that many kids all over face problems where they begin to feel isolated or lonely. The author wants the kids or adults reading ''Fish in a tree'' that every kid has their own problems to deal with. So you should be nice and kind to your classmates, students or colleagues.  This can be seen when in the book it said, "here, Ally.your the best at this.". This quote exemplifies that Ally always thought that because she couldn't
read or write she was useless and dumb. But then she finds out that she is really good at finding things/ identifying things and she is very talented.

In the book fish in a tree written by Lynda Mullaly hunt, the book is given an authors message this authors message was that nobody goes unnoticed everybody is seen. in the book this is shown in chapter 14 boxed in boxed out when their split in groups  each group is given a shoe box with something in it and you must find what it is when ally kept getting good guesses and this boy  in her group told her quote " its cool that your so good at this" and ally then says quote " i forget to say thank you because i'm so shocked but then i also forget to be nervous talking to everyone and feeling like...like i can do this as well as everyone else and it is the best. the best feeling ever." this shows how ally is finally confident enough to actually be in these activities.

              In the book Fish in a Tree the author Lynda Mullaly Hunt shows the message that to not let people judge on who you are this is seen in chapter 14 "boxed in and boxed out" where Ally's new teacher Mr.Daniels gives Ally's class a assignment which is to try and find out what is inside a closed box by doing anything but opening it to find out and as Ally's group continues her other teammates acknowledge how Ally uses a lot of different  procedures to try and find out what is in the box then Oliver says "here you go Ally you're good at this" this surprises Ally because nobody really compliments her for doing anything, everyone think shes dumb however for once somebody thinks that shes good at something even after people teasing her Ally's self esteem is down and is forced to think that she really is dumb and can't do anything good in her class this also makes Ally believe that there's no point in doing work if shes dumb this is shown in the first chapter where Ally is supposed to write a page that describes herself but Ally doesn't want to do it and after some talking with the teacher when Ally does agree to do it she just writes from top to bottom "Why?".

What is the author's message? (Fish in a Tree)

I believe the author's message in the story is to teach readers about gaining confidence.  Landy Mullaly Hunt projects this message by putting Ally into a situation.  As her school year goes on, Ally meets the personalities of her classmates that help become more confident and have faith in herself.  When Ally notices that others are upset or shy she starts to change.  The night in the auditorium when Ally's friend got in trouble she gave her friend flowers to make her feel better.  "Mrs. Muldoon has turned around to stare.  Her mouth is open wide enough for a bird to build a nest in.  I hole her gaze as I hand half the flowers to Keisha.  'Well, she can have some of mine, then.'  In the end, neither of us had flowers when we walked into the auditorium.  But we had bigger smiles than anyone else."  I felt so proud of Ally when she did that for Keisha.  Mrs. Muldoon is just a women without a heart!  I guess she also doesn't know what sharing is since she's probably never done it before.  The flowers were from Jessica's father, anyway.

Albert is the sort of person who does not care about others opinion about him this shows he has high self esteem .quote that shows this is when Albert defends Suki when people are making fun of he and what she bought to school and when a girl was saying that she eats lobster because its expensive but then Albert says ¨did you know that lobster was given to slaves?¨

Ally has two sides she is caring but she also just wants to really fit in so she could be mean just so Ally can fit in. Ally can help a lot of people and she cares about people but she can be a bum because she can be rude and be a brat to people because since she can´t read so she can get bullied so we can say she is a little desperate to fit in. Ally has two sides one is caring and the other is somebody that just really want to fit in. Ally has two sides as you can see and she is so sweet but sometimes a bum.

Ally is the sort of person who distracts her classmates to hide that she is unable to read.

One detail from the book is "One day in class m.r oliver told ally to read then she wrote on the desk, m.r oliver said go to the office she said"no"This shows that the kids were lauhging at her so it means that she  distracted the class.Also she said "the prinsible is not her"So she distrataction the class but then she went in the end.

Albert is the sort of person who gets teased and hangs out with them. This can be seen when it says "haha he has broken sneakers so its a sand'e".This shows that they make fun of him and he sits with them in luck so that's how he gets fun of.WE feel sad for him because they are not true friends because they make fun of her.If i was him i would not be their friend and i will snitch on them because that's not nice.

Albert, is the sort of person who is calm, but also bright

Quote 1 : Albert : "Albert puts 1 in his mouth.he eats it and looks like he is in pain.his even watered.he says with a gasp,i like it Suki. thank you."

 This shows that, Albert  tells what he thinks eating the pea and showing it very proudly.

ally is the type of person who is smarter than you think  and sarcastic one quote from the story is, "Ally has been smart enough to fool a lot of smart people. Every time she lands in  a new school, she is able to hide her inability to read.

this shows that people know that she cant read but she is able to hide it in by bluffing or distracting the teacher.

  Ally is the type of person who regrets decisions because when she insulted Albert she felt bad and regretted it. She then apologized the next day.  She is impulsive because she doesn't think before she speaks. And acts out in class without thinking.

 Albert is the type of person who doesn't care about what others think about him because when Ally apologized, He said he didn't care about what she said and he didn't feel sad. He is also the person who likes to learn.

Albert is the sort of person who is kind, respectful, and he would pretend so he/she wouldn't feel bad. He does it in a good way. When people are too scare to eat Suki's hone-senbei and wasabi peas, Suki feels bad. So Albert said he likes it. He looks for a way to cheer someone up. Two quote from the text is, "He eats it but looks like he's in pain. He says with a gasp, I like it, Suki." This shows that Albert is kind, respectful, and he pretends so he/she wouldn't feel bad. Ally is the sort of person who is shy and quiet because in the beginning of the book it stated,"Everyone laugh again.She puts up her hand.Anyone else who makes a sound gives up their recess."This quote showed that it Ally's friend and Ally don't want to be with her because her friend was laugh by everybody and Ally is shy of that and don't want to be embrassed.

   Albert is the sort of person who ignores the hate and embraces himself. Albert wears the same shoes everyday and the same flint shirt and he knows his shoes are worn out but he still wears them. He is also a very nice person for forgiving Ally after making fun of him with Shay and Jessica. In the book it says ""I'm sorry about the cafeteria thing" His eyebrows rise "That didn't bother me at all. No need to apologize"" And this shows he is forgiving.
   Ally is the sort of person who doesn't defend herself when being bullied and made fun of. Ally lies about herself to make herself feel better and other people, like her mom, "They break into laughter and, over near the kitchen, my mom smiles. She thinks I'm boning with them" but she was really getting bullied and made fun of, and never told her mom about being bullied.

                    Ally feels as if she is useless, and that shes counterproductive. Ally knows that her teachers don't like her, she thinks that nobody likes her at all. When Mr Daniels came to the school she finally felt as if somebody cared for her, and that he understood her problems. This can be seen when the author wrote "She sighs as I leave her office, and i know shes tired of me. Even I'm tired of me." (page 15.) This quote is significant because it shows how Ally feels about herself, all because the teachers dont like her.
                    Albert is the sort of person who does not care about what society thinks about him. He makes decisive decisions. He is anti-social, ignorant and have unique opinions. One quote that supports this is "But given the choice of buying new sneakers that I will out grow in three months or a chemistry set that I can use for a undefined amount of time, this seemed the clear choice". This is significant because this shows how Albert us decisive about his choices and thinking about the future.

In conclusion, Albert and Ally are two unique people yet seem so alike in a story they both need friends and they are outcasts from school even though they are nice and awesome.

Albert is the sort of person who doesn't care about what other people think of him. He's a very smart kid who probably thinks that other people are intimidated by his intelligence. Ally seems to be the opposite of Albert personality-wise. Ally seems to care too much about what other think. Ally insulted Albert because she didn't want the other girls to think she was lame. However, Albert did not care about the insult.

Albert is the sort of person who is tough and that doesn't care about what people think about him. This can be seen when it said, " I am going to feel even worse when the shade comes down over Albert's face. When he looks sad.  But that never comes. He just stands there eating Doritos and studying us like we are lab mice.". This quote exemplifies that Albert doesn't care about what other people think of him. Ally is the sort of person who holds a lot of anger in her and the person who only express her feelings by drawing. This is significant  because it says, "I wish i had my sketchbook of impossible things its the only thing that makes me feel like i'm not a waste of space. "

Q: What sort of person is Albert?

A: Albert is the sort of person who's sort of savage and a careless dude. He's savage and careless because he came back with a sweet comeback that made Shay and Jessica feel, less cool and made Ally feel... wrong. This can be seen in the page 63 of fish in a tree. "Actually, I don't take my appearance lightly. I take you lightly." This shows why Albert is savage and careless dude. This dude doesn't care what anyone thinks of him.
Q: What sort of person is Ally?
A: Ally is the sort of person who has mixed feelings. Either she's sad about being left-out in school or disappointed because of letting someone loyal down with a group of "cool" girls. She also feels sorry for people from time to time. Like Suki who's grandpa died or That same Albert that day and next day.

Albert is the sort of person who, Ally is the sort of person who?

                   In the book Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt there are 2 characters Albert and Ally. Albert is a kid who is described by Ally "Would get a better grade than me if he just sneezed into the paper" and would wear the same shirt, shoes and pants everyday while Ally isn't confidence in herself and thinks she is dumb because of other people opinions. The way we would describe Albert as Confidence/ Savage during our reading of chapter 11 "Scrambled eggs" Jessica invites Ally to sit with them and Ally accepts, soon Jessica and Shay make fun of Albert's shoes as they were cut out from the back after signaling him over Jessica and the girls make fun of him and say that "what are those slippers for, next he'll be wearing a robe" caught up in wanting to be cool Ally also makes fun of Albert for wearing slippers and wearing a robe next time however soon Albert makes a comeback on their teasing and says "I don't take my appearance lightly, I take you lightly" *OK, OK for a minute pull this in and just shout out ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* were done next well see what kind of person Ally is. Ally is the kind of person who just wants to be sociable however because she is made fun of for being dumb she is really not taken serious by other girls and because of this Ally is socially awkward this is also seen in chapter 11 "Scrambled eggs" when after a seat change she tries to be friends with Keisha. Ally blurts out "I don't mind being your friend" when Ally knows that Keisha isn't interested in being Ally's friend.

In ¨Fish In A Tree¨ Albert is the sort of person who does not care what others say about him.He won´t even care if someone judges his appearance.Albert is a kind of person who lets go of things easily and doesn´t hold grudges.On page 66 it states ¨that didn´t bother me .No need to apologize¨. He won´t get bothered when someone judges him but gets bothered by other weird things.In the book Ally is a sort of person who is regretful.After she said something mean to Albert Ally felt guilty.Ally felt bothered since she did something mean with Shay.Based on page 63 it states ¨and then my heart sinks,because i realize that i just was.She thought she wasn´t mean but then she finally realized she did act mean.

In the book "fish in a tree" a new character is discovered, his name is Albert. Albert is the sort of person who is really self- assured. this character trait is shown when he talks back to Keisha this can be seen in the book when he says "i think it curious that you worry about what i have on my feet when three of you are wearing red shirts-it represents red alerts and high fevers red numbers show loss in accounting red represents danger"

while in the other hand ally is the other way around while Albert is self-assured and ally is the sort of person who is really self-conscious thinking what other think of her and she is thinking how Albert was so confident how he talked back to Keisha in a way and she thought in the book quote "and with that he turns and is gone before can pull out other mean thing and i wish i was more like Albert" and she says quote " i'm not perfect,but at least i'm not mean"

        In the book Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, Albert is the sort of person who doesn't really care about the way others think about him.  Albert is also very creative and intelligent.  He states many interesting facts throughout the story.  Ally is the sort of person who notices her bad actions towards Albert.  She felt guilty after making fun of his clothing.  She felt bad because she was a bully just like Shay and Jessica.  "Something going on?'  'Mean kids at school.'  'Oh, Ally Bug.  I'm sorry you had to put up with that.  What happened?'  'Well....the kids who were mean?'  'Yeah?'  'I was one of them."

 In the book, Fish In A Tree  Ally is almost a troublemaker. She doesn't do any work and everyone in her class is tired of her. She calls herself dumb, stupid, idiot. Her friends also call her those things. For seven years she has been in seven different schools. She does not know how to read and it gives her a hard time. Her teacher tries her best to speak with her, but there is no use. Ally is one daydreamer who is not sociable.

   

Letter to Ally

         Dear Ally,

         You should start to express your feelings so other people will understand you more. If you keep on keeping your feelings inside, you might be left out and be isolated from everyone else. Ally, you have been less sociable with people and more of an inside person the rather for asking for help. you have really become a troublemaker but you are really aren't so try to not care what others say. You had those bad times before, and we understand how you feel but we want you to know that you should be a little more sociable.
         You should not hide from others and be more sociable. Try to work hard in school to get good grades. It is, ok, to have enemies, but you have to have someone to hang out with and not be lonely. It is ok to have no friends but try to make an interest to your teachers. You probably might be thinking why we are telling you this, but we are trying to help.

In the book Fish in a Tree, Ally is inexpressive. She thinks that if she shows/tells anyone her feelings she thinks everyone else will think she is even dumber. This can be shown in the quote, "I don't need to read it to you I get it."&"now I wish I knew what the poster said." This quote is significant because it shows how Ally doesn't want to read it to her because she can't read. She is inexpressive because of her interaction with others in her school. She hides the truth from everyone, cause she thinks she will be dumber. One quote is, " They will think I am dumb and you can't cure dumb." This quote is significant because it shows how Ally really feels like.

In the book "Fish in a tree'' by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. Ally Nickerson faces tough problems at school & home. she always feels dumb and unwanted and she keeps underestimating herself. she never pays attention at school work. One of Ally's character traits is imaginative. this can be seen when it states ''all that doodling of yours, Ally. If you weren't drawing all the time your work might be done.

                     In the book Fish In Tree¨ Ally has many character traits such as a target. One reason is because she is a target for getting bullied at school. And reason to that is her disability, or kind of a disability she developed herself. Her inability to learn nor read nor write made her a bullying target in 7th grade. She sort of did dumb things that she wasn't aware of. Like that sympathy card she bought for her teacher that was supposed a congratulations card.

meaning she is a  complex person one day she was being rude and didn't want to do any work the teacher had given her instead she had disrespected the teacher and started writing on the desks and the next chapter  shows her given a card for her baby shower and says in chapter 2 quote "i feel like its my way of saying i'm sorry for being such a pain all the time."anytime she tried to do something good it always turned out that she would make things worse.she had many thoughts they were weird because sometimes she would think positive and the next negative thing.

A trait for Ally

      Ally's character trait is unforgiving.One reason why is because in the story it said Ally had gave her teacher Mrs.Hall a Yellow sympathy card,And so Mrs.halls said "why in the world would you give me a sympathy card" she also said "go to the OFFICE" which means Mrs.halls doesn't forgive her because of her sympathy card that she gave to her.

       I (Yasmin) think Ally is repudiate.  I believe this because Ally refuses to learn to read and make new friends.  She's afraid to open her heart to new and different things in her life.

Our fist impressions on the book Fish In A Tree

        In the book Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt the main character Ally faces challenges in school as she is underestimating herself of her abilities to work she thinks that she's dumb and that you can't cure dumb. After reading the first few chapters we think the theme is to not let people control your mind to make you think a certain way for example because of the common laughter about ally and her classmates saying that she is dumb Ally would believe that she is dumb and is unable to work especially when a new teacher Mrs. Halls wants to know how Ally describes herself Ally refuses to do the full paper because she doesn't like to show her emotions and when Mrs. Halls sends Ally to the office that is when she does agree to do the paper.

      Since you're being bullied in your middle school years, try to avoid bullies at any cost. Just keep it tidy if a bully tries to get the best of you. Best way to deal with those bums is by ignoring them, yes it's hard but it's better to say nothing before you got into even more trouble. Well, buying a sympathy card without even knowing what is kind of stupid, it's true. Not that we are for bullies it's just that think twice before you do something. People might think you're innocent person, however, when someone does it, it doesn't look right.
      Even when you have stalkers that pretend to be your friends, try to be even with them when relatives are around. Don't ignore them, mama will be mad. When they ask you some question about you just answer  with "That's the way I am." If same kids in school ask you about that sympathy card you bought, try saying,"There was nothing else and I didn't know what sympathy card was, no-one ever told me about it." It works. Yeah, book characters always find some sort of dumb solution to their problems, it's probably fiction after all.

In the book Fish in a Tree yesterday we read about a girl named Ally, who had trouble learning. Kids in school thought she was trouble to everyone, she never knew how to read nor write properly. Her troubles made her the target of bullying, her disabilities were the things that made her weaker. Sometimes she actually expressed suicidal thoughts, however, she never spoke them out. She's troubled by bullies and probably will find a way to deal with them.

     Our group was reading Fish in a tree, The book was about a girl named Ally and She was having

trouble listening to instructions. She was always thinking negative and never positive. For example she

always thinks that she is dumb, stupid, and an idiot. She always wants to do the right thing but her

actions always do the opposite way. Some conflicts that she is facing are, she's having trouble focusing

in class , she is constantly getting in trouble by her teachers, and trouble learning in class. At her

teacher's baby shower Ally gave her teacher a present that was a box of diapers, and a card with

yellow flowers that was for dead people. Ally doesn't realize that - that's bad.

Dear Ally,
     Your amazing and unique no one can ever change that. You should just say you need help so people see your not just joking around. Even if you do not want to you need to. it will make you feel better soon... just watch.oh and about the bullying thing, act like they did not say anything to you. Here is some advice to make your school year better. Number 1 what you should is to ignore the bully tell the teacher to make them stop. you should tell the teacher about the problem  that you encountered.
So that people  wont get a chance to pick on you.You should speak whats on your mind so people know how to treat you.also show how smart you are by getting better grades in life. my advice for you is that stay by the teacher so that even if kids try to pick on you the teacher is watching them so they wont get a chance to pick on you.

Fish in a Tree

            Yesterday when we read Fish in a Tree, we learned that the main character, Ally, is having a hard time at school.  She is always so negative and believes the rude comments her classmates say about her so she says it to herself.  "Stupid...Weird...Dumb".  Ally doesn't know how to read so she procrastinates by making up silly excuses to stay away from doing her work.  This gives her teacher a hard time sending Ally to the principle's office more than once.  In our opinions, Ally is like the fish in the tree.  We think she just needs somebody to talk to her because she is normally alone.  Maybe Ally acts a certain way because she doesn't know how to express her feelings.  She even drew all over the table!  In conclusion, Ally needs some sort of companion or friend to hang around her.  Being negative is bringing herself down.

        Today we read the book, "echo,"written by Pam Munoz Ryan. Off of what we read so far, we are up to the second part of the story.The second part of the story is Friedrich , and his family. This time setting is during world war 2. It was a time where Hitler was the ruler. This story takes place in Germany. Friedrich has a unique, but huge.He was bullied because of his birthmark on his face to his neck. The bullying got up to a point where Friedrich's father had enough and told the principle that he had to be tutored alone.

Today we read the book called "Sit, Stay, Love" by j.j Howard. In this book its talks about a girl named Cecilia who has an obsession with dogs. She is warmhearted, although she is a bit lonely. Her parents don't allow her to own a dog. But she volunteered at Orphan Paws for 8 whole months just to hang out with them. Cecilia's home caught on fire and she has to live at her aunts house. Her dad doesn't have much money and Cecilia had many obstacles along her way. A dog named Potato came to Orphan paws and Cecilia fell in love with him. Eric Chung, the rich popular boy, adopted Potato and Cecilia was heartbroken. Potato was soon leaving and Cecilia was left alone.

Relationships in "City of Bones, The Mortal Instruments"

          In the book, "City of Bones, The Mortal Instruments", by Cassandra Clare there is a good complex plot, but the relationships between the characters are complex in its own ways.

          Clary for example has a difficult complex relationship with Jace. Like a love, hate relationship. They are technically step siblings because a man named Valentine made Clary with a woman named Jocelyn but then Valentine left that family, adopting Jase. Then as the story goes on, Clary and Jase kissed at one point, NOT knowing that they were step siblings. But, this gets even more harsh. Thus because Simon, Clary's best friend for ten years, loves her but; is afraid to confess. Moreover, Simon  also loves Isabelle Lightwood, another Shadowhunter. To make this even more complex, Alec Lightwood, Isabelle's brother, likes Jace Wayland. Not just as a friend, but as a partner and lover. But, Alec is afraid to come out of the closet. Thus when Jace makes his move Alec gets jealous. Thus making him hate Clary.

          As you can tell, this book is not easy to understand as if you are reading the simple plot.
But the relationships of the characters are hard and complex. The worse thing is that tides between Clary and her mother Jocelyn have worsened. Thus because Clary when discovered that Jocelyn has put the block in her mind she doesn't even know her mother anymore. She realizes that she doesn't even know Luke anymore, he has been keeping horrible truths from her. Such as the fact that he has relationships with Downworlders. Everyone in this series has difficult relationships. Their relationships are on the brink of having a good one. At least they can still trust each other and have lover for each other.

The main character in "The Forest Of Hands And Teeth" is Mary. Her mother is a widow who has been waiting for her husband who is in the forest with the unconsecrated. One day, while Mary was creating feeling for a boy named Harry, her mother was attacked by one of the unconsecrated.Her mother decided to join her husband in the forest instead of getting killed. Mary had to join the sisterhood because she was too worried about her mom and she needed to take her mind off it. Mary has a complicated life. She likes a boy named Travis but his brother likes Mary. It's a triangle of love. Mary has a complicated life with everything revolving around her.

                                             The  Spiderwick Chronicles by Simon Schuster

       In the book Spiderwick Chronicles we learn more about why Jared feels insecure.
His biggest insecurity is that he feels misunderstood because his mother has a negative outlook on everything bad that happens, and thinks that it's always Jared who causes it.

      This idea can be seen in the book when the faerie ties (Jared's and Simon's sister) Mallory's hair to her bed. Finally when she wakes up to a scream,  their mother thinks that it was Jared to tie her hair, because he is known to be the trouble maker, and thinks that he's been acting weird ever since their dad left. In the book it says "'You think a Faerie tied my hair to my bed?' Mallory asked.'Mom thinks you did. She thinks you have been acting weird ever since dad left. Like getting into all those fights at school' ". This evidence shows why Jared's family thinks he always causes trouble. In fact, even when Jared tries to prove that he didn't do it, Mallory believes him but doesn't think that it was the faerie who tied her hair.

                     In " City Of Bones ", we meet our main characters, Clary and Simon. As they are waiting in line at the Pandemonium, they spot a weird boy with electric blue hair. Clary, follows the boy to some empty storage room; only to find out that there are more people in there, trying to kill him. But these people aren't regular humans: they are called Shadowhunters. From the description, we thought that Clary MIGHT have been a Shadowhunter because in the text it states, ""A mundie girl," he said, half to himself. "And she can see us."" This quote shows that Clary being able to see the Shadowhunters is unusual, and that she might not be a mundie after all.

 Today we read a portion of the novel, "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare. The main protagonist of the book, Clary Fray, witnesses the strange murder of a demon, even stranger committed by three teenagers with odd markings on them, and even stranger, no one else but Clary can see the teenagers.

One character theory we believe to be true is that Valentine, a former Shadowhunter, (Person who hunts demons) who only wanted humans to live in their world without interactions from downworlders (monsters of legends), is actually Clary's father. This is because Clary in the book, turns sixteen in a couple more days, just as her father died in a "car crash" before she was born, and how Valentine also happened to have died sixteen years ago, burning himself and the cup that made Shadowhunters into ash. This also explains how Clary can see downworlders, and other Shadowhunters, and how she survived Jace, another Shadowhunter, place a marking on Clary that would have killed Clary, if she was just a normal person, with no Shadowhunter blood.

The kind of person we think Mrs. Saunders is, she is strong. She doesn't let people let her down.
since, she looks weird. One detail is,''My face says I am smart, sexy, sassy, and self confident.'' She said snapping her fingers with rapid fire.This shows how she is strong by what adjectives she uses to describe herself. Also she doesn't even care about what others think of her. Another example is,''These tiny bags? They let the world know I like to stay up late.'' "doing what?'' John John asks. ''Checking homework? Or making out?''. Mrs. Saunders replied,''what do I think of my face I think I'm all that''. This quote also hows how Mrs. Saunders is a strong lady. looking at what she said that she stays up late she shows that she is a hardworking person. Also she looks at herself as a normal person not what people really see.

                The person Ms. Saunders is that she's actually a nice person who thinks about the kids. Some evidence to support this is "She's always wanted to teach. She says being at McClenton Middle School will help her figure out if she wants to make a career out of teaching." This quote explains that she cares about kids, and she would leave her well-paying job just so that she could become a teacher so she can help out kids regardless of how they treat her.

Today, we read chapters one through two, of the book "The Skin I'm In." by Sharon G. Flake. Chapter one spoke of a girl named Maleeka's struggles that she goes through every day. Everyday Maleeka is taunted by the other kids in her class. They make fun of her homemade clothes and dark skin.
What they don't know is that Maleeka is very intelligent in math and can outsmart 9th graders and she has the memory of an elephant. And then a new teacher named Miss Saunders comes to Maleeka's school. She is very unusual with a white splotched face and odd looking body. She protects Maleeka since people give her a hard time, and since Miss Saunders must have gone through this since she looks odd and it must have been rough for her so she wants to help Maleeka out.

I think that these facts help with the theme of the first two chapters. Maleeka thinks the new English teacher is a freak just like she thinks she is.

John-John is always bulling her because of the skin that she was born with so she feels bad.

John-John is singing a song that he made up under his breath and she is getting sick of hearing it.

The song that he is singing made her think about leaving school early to escape sitting next to him in class.

She couldn't leave school because when she tried, things happened which blocked her from getting outside.

She now has to go to class and sit next to the boy and she doesn't want to hear him sing that song but there is nothing she can do.

"She is mad that he is making fun of him, but she knows there is nothing she can do to stop it."

Flake is Racism can lead to hardships and great depresion.One detail from the story is  ''I still hear singing the boom boom song under his braeth''This shows that the depression still doesnt stop and it is hardship.Another detail is ''I dont have to listen to it either''. This shows that that in the same time she has great depression even though she gets teasesd.Also its not a one day thing its everyday.

Zoe- i think this book matches this theme because not every one enjoys seeing her and her intelligence, her classmates and everyone she sees  doesn't care about it at all.

        The theme we found in the first two chapters was the theme of don't treat people differently because everyone should be treated equally. I know this because in chapter 1,  it says, "baboom, boom, boom, but she so black!" This shows why everyone should be treated equally. Another detail is,''He's my color but ever since second grade he's been teasing me about being too black.'' This also shows how she is being treated different from everyone else because the boy teases her for being black.Another example is,''When she's far enough away,john john says to me ''i don't see no pretty ,just whole lot of black.'' This shows how john john teases her and does not treat Maleeka equally.

Predictions about the book.

Our prediction of the book  ¨The skin i'm in'' is a black girl that is being discriminated and being bullied and taunted, and she is smart, funny and just a good person in general. Then a significant black adult character comes in teaching the girl that it doesn't matter whats on the outside but rather on the inside.
Then the girl grows up teaching other young black girls to have a good self esteem.

Prediction about the book

I predict the girl will get bullied because people dont like her race.
She doesnt like her skin because people tease her.
People wont be her friend because people dont like her.
I think people will call her names.
It seems like she doesnt have faith in herself.
She loses confidence when people make fun of her.
I also think there is a teacher that tells her about the skin she is in.

To be honest, i feel like the book is real because the first sentence is saying as if someone is talking in real life. The book for me feels like someone is not happy about the color of their skin or their just not happy about the skin that they live in. The book might start to talk about what happened in the authors life if this is a true story or it will talk about how the author feels how other people aren't happy about the skin they live in. I don't think that this story is fake because when i read a book, i feel a connection. as if all of the information in the book, just warp from the book into my head and i know whats going to happen in the book. So i feel that this book is a book about a real person that is not happy about the skin that they live in and that they wrote this book to tell people how she feels about the skin that they live in. Most people are fine with the skin they live in, but this person doesn't feel good about the skin that they live in so they wrote a book about how they feel.

     we think the book is going to be about a girl that is discriminated. We know this because,the back of the book shows she doesn't like her skin color because, she is made fun of.Then one day a new teacher arrives.we think the girl will benefit from her. In the back it says that the teacher is also different so it will affect her.We know this because she can also reflect upon her new teacher for being different.
            We also know this because in the back of the book it says, ''Maleeka suffers every day from the taunts of the other kids  in her class..... It's about her dark skin." Another way we know this is because in the back it says,''Miss Saunders loves the skin shes in. Can Maleeka learn to do the same?.''

Prediction of The Skin I'm in.

  From what we've seen from the blurb, Maleeka is a smart girl. She is also oblivious. She doesn't improve of her skin because others bully her about it. The teacher, Ms. Saunders loves her skin color. Maleeka was very surprised. If someone who is more intelligent and wiser, Maleeka should be able to love her skin by the end of the story. Soon she will probably become less insecure about her skin color. Ms Saunders will and did or maybe helped her get through all. Why? Cause of how much Ms Saunders favored her.

According to the blerb, i think that the book is about how Maleeka get bullied everyday for her skin color. When a girl saw her, the girl told her that her skin is like a blue-black sky after it's rained and rained. When a new teacher came in, she really liked the teacher.

The LMG was created today (4/19/18) along with 50v50 v2 a game mode also released today. I haven't tried the LMG because my parents wont let me play until the weekend. The LMG is like a mini gun that shoots medium bullets. I don't have an opinion on this gun because i haven't tried it yet. I probably won't add my opinion on this weapon so on to 50v50. 50v50 is a game mode in which two battle buses fly across the map dropping up to 50 people each. I also haven't tried this game mode yet either so i also have no opinion on this.

This week the port-a-fort was released

It’s not easy to make the perfect Fortnight fort. The port-a-fort is like a grenade, when thrown a one by one metal base that is 3 high is built with a bowl like shape on top. To travel to the top tires are placed at the bottom. The port a fort can be infiltrated by building up to the top or by breaking the bottom. I personally dont like the port a fort because by the time a place it down it you already take a lot of damage and it is easy to intercept. Overall the port a fort sucks and i dont like it.
