A critique (So Far)- By : Blake Lin, Zheng Hao Lin, JackyLi THE DRAGON IN THE SOCK DRAWER
The book "dragon in the sock drawer" is very non-interesting because it talks about kids hike up the mountain and found a egg, and it talks to Jesse. I rate it 1.5 stars because the book starting story doesn't pull me into the imagination. After that, they just randomly a "Thunder Egg" just appeared and it talks to them. -Blake Lin
I rate the book 3.5 stars because in the beginning the story kinda hooks me in the fantasy world, "It made him feel dizzy to look to look down from the mountain, which was doing a pretty good job of living up to its name." and "Besides, maybe the rock would actually weigh him down enough to keep him from blowing away." These quotes is significant because it shows how it attracts me into the fantasy world. My favorite part was the "Thunder Egg" had a connection between Jesse, it talks to him. -Zheng Hao Lin
I rate this book a 1 star, at least for me because it doesn't interest me and the dialogue is very very childish. And the age rating is 8-12 once again I disagree with that because let's use common sense do you really think a 12 years old would like to read a boring story and childish dialogue? But I will rate a 3.5 star for young kids to read this book because they have good imagination and the dialogue is funny for the young kids, some kids at least.
