From the day me and my group started reading this book, we have read up to page sixty eight in two weeks. In those pages we have read, we have learned a lot about the characters in this book. The main characters, Cassia, Xander and Ky are very important to the book. Cassia is the most important in the book because she has the most problems and has the biggest point-of-view. Xander is the second most important character because he is Cassia's match and he plays a big role in the book being Cassia’s match and partner. Ky is the third most important character in the book, even though he had just entered the book, he was mixed up with Cassia’s microcard when she was being matched. During the book, Cassia has many more problems to face now and in the future.
There was a scene where Cassia opened a silver box secretly and saw her microcard. But the image of the microcard isn't the person she was expecting. On the microcard, the person that Cassia saw was not Xander. But instead it was Ky Markham, which Cassia knew but hasn’t met him in many years. In the story Matched page 39, the author mentioned, “Except. The face I saw, the face that was not Xander: I knew him, too.” This is significant because from this part of the scene, it shows that Cassia was worried about her match. But the Society is always correct, and never wrong. So she thought it was someone that gave them the wrong microcard. But when Cassia and Xander went to casino to have some fun, in Official took Cassia for some time, and replaced her microcard with a new one that is suppose to be right. In the story, page 43, the author mentioned, “She holds out her hand, I drop the microcard into her outstretched palm. “Perfect. I’ll take care of this.” She placed it inside her small Official’s case. I catch a glimpse of her tablet container and notice that it is larger than standard issue. She saw my glance. “Higher-level Official carry extra,” she says. “In case of an emergency.” I nod, and she continues. “But that's not something you need to worry about. Now this is for you.” She takes another microcard from a side pocket inside the case. “I’ve checked it myself. Everything is in order.” This is significant because it shows that someone might had replaced Cassia’s microcard with their own so they believed that the Society messed up. But they never messed up. Even though Cassia got her card completed, Ky Markham, is going to have a serious play to the next scene.
In conclusion, Cassia has gone through some adventures short throughout the book. She had her microcard mixed up and she had to get a different one from in Official instead of spending most of her time with Xander. But moving on from her struggles, some of the good things in the story were that she got matched with Xander, her long time best friend, and has made many good friends and relationships throughout the story. She also has learned many things throughout the book like the hardships of being seventeen like taking care of her life and family or learning how to become a woman. But the book has been an adventure.
